The image-based report – or express report – or EAR (Express Annual Report) – consists of an image of each page of your PDF document, and all the pages sit within an HTML navigation structure.

Beware: some people incorrectly refer to image-based reports as “interactive PDFs” or “interactive HTML reports”. If your online report provider uses these terms, make sure you know what you are being sold.
