director of Centrica plc until May 2002 and he is a
trustee of the International Accounting Standards
Committee Foundation.

Sir Brian Pitman
Age 71.
Sir Brian joined Carlton as a non-executive
director in 1998. He is also a non-executive director
of The CarphoneWarehouse PLC and Tomkins PLC;
and a Senior Advisor to Morgan Stanley. He retired in
April 2001 from Lloyds TSB where he was Chief
Executive for 13 years and Chairman for 4 years. He
was also Chairman of NEXT PLC from 1998 until May
2002.
