Following the initial announcement in October of merger proposals
with Granada, a detailed submission has been made to the Office of
Fair Trading for regulatory consideration. In the meantime Carlton and
Granada are working together to deliver early efficiency gains and cost
savings from sharing resources in areas that are not sensitive from a
regulatory perspective, including transmission, purchasing and certain
support services. |
