Investis sets new standard in press websites with Benetton

Investis, Europe’s leading online communications agency, has launched a revamped online press area for Italian fashion house Benetton Group, which sets new standards in Best Practice for websites for journalists.
The amount of background information available in a wide range of formats (text, video, audio, high quality magazine-ready images) all managed through a variety of interactive tools creates an environment that goes well beyond its peers in helping journalists collect the latest information on Benetton while researching extensive background detail. As well as interactive tools such as the events calendar reminder, print basket, SMS and e-mail alert service, it also has a highly sophisticated image basket that enables users to access via direct links or a keyword/category search more than 1,000 catalogue, catwalk and campaign images and create an Amazon-style shopping basket to facilitate downloading in various formats and resolutions for printing in newspapers or magazines or on websites.
The design, content and functionality requirements for this website were based on extensive research by Benetton who polled journalists from around the world on how they use websites to gather information as well as close collaboration between Investis and the Benetton Communications Team.
