Investis acquires UK web solutions provider Saltmine

- Broadens product range for corporate clients
- Seeks more acquisitions in the UK and rest of Europe
London (March 28, 2006) – Investis Ltd, Europe’s leading provider of corporate websites and other online services, has expanded its range of cutting-edge products with the acquisition of UK web agency Saltmine Ltd.
Saltmine specialises in helping companies use web-based technology to manage internal and external corporate communications with a variety of industry-leading products such as the digital asset manager Brandbench, risk and delegation of authority application Authority Management and content management system Contentpress. Saltmine clients include blue chip companies such as BP plc.
Investis, which provides services to more than 450 UK and mainland European publicly quoted companies, will create a new division called Investis Saltmine.
The transaction comes as Investis continues to register double digit revenue growth, a feat it has managed every year since its foundation in 2000, making it one of the largest web agencies in the UK, according to industry rankings. Investis, which counts UK and European blue chips such as Vodafone, Prudential, Cadbury Schweppes, Benetton, Hugo Boss, France Telecom and Swiss Life among its clients, expects to report revenue in excess of £7 million in 2006.
Investis’ strategy is aimed at using scale and industry-beating technology to provide world-class online communications tools for publicly-quoted companies at an affordable price. While scale is being achieved organically, Investis also believes there are significant opportunities to lead the consolidation of the fragmented UK and European web agency market.
