Anglo American wins Grand Award for Website Redesign at the iNOVA Awards 2008

Investis would like to congratulate our client Anglo American for winning the Grand Award, in Best Website Redesign category, at the 2008 iNOVA Awards.
iNOVA Awards honour the world’s best corporate websites by recognising and promoting overall achievement in creative design, written content, and functional performance of corporate websites. In 2008 over two hundred entries were received from 10 countries.
The site design features the use of bold images to communicate key messages about the group and to demonstrate its clear sense of purpose. Content was streamlined and refreshed throughout the site and detailed performance data and case studies were used to reinforce the group’s message of delivery against its promises.
One of the site’s central features is an innovative and integrated mapping tool, which brings together a wealth of information about Anglo American’s global operations. A unique feature of the map is the ability to provide “deep links” from the website directly to content within the map, rather than simply to its launch page. This allows links to the map to be used throughout the site to illustrate specific projects, show case studies of sustainable development, or to provide context to information about the group’s operating divisions and projects.
The award demonstrates Anglo American’s outstanding dedication to the increasing role of online corporate communications. Anglo American completely rebuilt their corporate website to convey the message and demonstrate evidence that Anglo American are delivering on promises it has made to its stakeholders.
