Investis buys UK web agency
Web design firm Investis has bought UK web agency Saltmine for an undisclosed sum.
Saltmine helps companies use web-based technology to manage internal and external corporate communications with a variety of products such as the digital asset manager Brandbench, risk and delegation of authority application Authority Management and content management system Contentpress.
Investis said it will create a new division called Investis Saltmine. Saltmine clients include blue chip companies such as BP.
Roger Allen, former managing director of Saltmine, and now MD of Investis Saltmine, said: “We are very excited about this opportunity. The products fit, the clients fit and our skill sets were entirely complementary making the deal a very compelling story that benefits both our customers
and our company,”
Investis provides services to more than 450 UK and mainland European firms including Vodafone, Prudential, Cadbury Schweppes, Benetton, Hugo Boss, France Telecom and Swiss Life.
Justin Walters, CEO of Investis, said: “Being familiar with Saltmine’s innovative products and the strength of its team, we leapt at the opportunity which is part of our strategy to lead a much-needed consolidation of the fragmented market. Saltmine will help to cement Investis’ role at the beating heart of online internal and external corporate communication strategies for publicly listed companies.”
