Thank you Sir Nigel and good morning everyone.
First, let me give you run through today's agenda. I will start with an overview, then Jim will cover the detailed financial review; then I will update on progress against the business drivers we shared with you in May. Finally, we will be happy to take any questions you may have.
Let me start by saying that this last six months has been a period of further significant progress as we have strengthened our position as THE UK's health and beauty expert.
And three weeks ago we showed our determination to accelerate the pace of our transformation with news of two significant transactions - the proposed sale of Boots Healthcare International to Reckitt Benckiser and the proposed merger with Alliance Unichem.
We will touch on these later. But today is really about our results and the main focus will be what we have achieved in the first half.
