Notes
Turning to Boots Healthcare International, first half sales in Sterling were up 1% with sales in local currency up 4.8%. The second quarter saw a substantial improvement in sales performance over Q1 growing at 5.8% compared to 3.5%.
Brand investment was 28% of sales slightly lower than the high level last year, when we invested heavily behind Clearasil in the USA.
Operating profit was £38m up 6%.
