Nurofen was again the best performing core brand, up 7%. It showed particularly strong growth in Australia, due to the switch to general sales list, and in Central Europe and Russia.
Growth in Clearasil was more modest, up 2.5%. Performance was hit by distributor issues in Japan where sales were down 50%. Excluding Japan, growth was 7%. Sales in the US were up 3.4%, with gains in both market share and underlying consumption.
Strepsils grew almost 7% with good performance in continental Europe and Asia.
