In August the Department of Health announced the conclusion of the review into Control of Entry regulations. The DoH has agreed partial deregulation.
The new legislation is expected to be in force from April 2005 and brings to an end a period of substantial uncertainty for the profession.
The new rules give us the opportunity to dispense NHS prescriptions in 40 to 50, existing stores, where previously this wasn't the case.
Our future store opening plans will take account of these new regulations.
